greek feta cheese burger

sooo… i normally won’t post this often. but dinner was really good, super easy, and very simple. which qualifies it for a post. it’s 5 ingredients for the burgers, and we broiled some corn to go with it.we don’t have a grill, but summer is for burgers and corn and all those sorts of things, so directions are for the stove.

greek feta cheese burger

1 lb. ground beef (i used 93/7, and it was perfectly tender)

1/3C crumbled feta cheese

1tsp. minced garlic (or 2 cloves)

1/2tsp dried oregano

1/4tsp black pepper

mix all ingredients with your hands, and shape into 4 patties. grill, broil or pan fry until light pink in the middle (if you like it med. well). if you need it well done, cook 10-12 minutes, depending on patty thickness.

broil some corn, buttering and salting before putting in the oven. bake for 6-8 minutes, or until ends are brown, and there are small brown spots here and there on the corn. rotate at least once.

corn is on sale this week at publix, and so is kraft salad dressing. we ate cucumber ranch on the burgers, which took the place of tzatziki. if you’re feeling adventurous, make your own. i was in mood to be lazy. this meal was pretty cheap, since there was coupons for ground beef when you bought A1, which just happened to be buy one get one free, with coupons for that too. happy times.
